This presentation covers the flexibility, agility, and savvy you will need to navigate the whole marketplace beyond traditional customers and standard operating procedure.
Ron Smith is a contracts and procurement consultant specializing in negotiations and contract resolution. His career in contracting includes senior executive positions at Airbus, Hewlett Packard, and Northrop Grumman. During the course of his career, he has been engaged in numerous major projects and acquisitions, including Space Based Infra-Red System (SBIRS), the Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA) and the KC-X Tanker competition.
As a professional leader he has served as National President of NCMA, World Congress Chair, and as a long-time member of the NCMA Board of Advisors and the NCMA Board of Directors. He is the recipient of the Charles A. Dana Award for NCMA service. He has also served on numerous Industry and Government committees including the Acquisition Reform Working Group (ARWG) and the Electronic & Information Technology Accessibility Advisory Committee (EITAAC).
He is the author of numerous books and articles, including the Contract Management Body of Knowledge (2004) (currently in 4th Edition); Market Research in Federal Contracting (1998); Creating the Performance-Based Solicitation (1997); and Acquisition Reform (1996).
He is a Lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager, a Certified Professional Contracts Manager, and an NCMA Fellow.
